Secrets of the Universe, Hidden Treasures, Counterfeits and Truth

I've written much about my journey in coming to learn of the "Healing Arts" (which include many therapies that may be familiar, such as massage therapy, light therapy, magnetic therapy, sound therapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture etc, as well as more unfamiliar, less mainstream therapies such as energy healing, cranio sacral work, foot zoning, etc) A wonderful awakening seems to be occurring, where science is catching up with what healers have known for centuries: our bodies are more than the physical; pain, trauma and imbalances can be corrected, and prevented by focusing on the emotional, mental, and energetic layers outside the physical layer, and that the application of both neuroscience and physics in medicine can yield dramatic results, far beyond the results of our current medical model, which focuses almost solely on the application of chemistry in medicine.

Energy based modalities are still science based...just a different field of science.

Unfortunately, one thing energy healers have to contend with, seemingly constantly, is attacks from those who do not understand what energy medicine is, and what it is not.(1)

Nothing Happens until Something Moves

You have probably heard Albert Einstein's famous quote that "Nothing happens until something moves." The famous German theoretical physicist developed the theory of relativity. When he made the statement, he was talking mainly about physics. However, others have made similar statements that relate to areas of our lives that have nothing to do with physics (or, have everything to do with physics, depending on your viewpoint!)

Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Working to clear distortions in the energy field is remarkably effective at both facilitating movement to bring about change, and fundamentally transforming the way we perceive events and circumstances in our lives.

Navigating Grief: The Power of Connection

Very powerful principles for navigating grief through faith. If you or someone you know is suffering from grief or loss, you won't regret taking a few short minutes to learn 4 powerful principles that make all the difference

I saw this posted on Facebook and immediately thought of the truth of this profound statement, as manifested through the emotional healing work I do.

“Quantum physics shows us that solid matter, including our bodies, is the outermost shell of a multilayered energy body, that beneath the physical surface are levels of cells, molecules, atoms, and subatoms,” Forem says. “We also know that subtle levels are more powerful than surface levels. The theory beneath energy-based modalities is that practitioners impact the whole by manipulating the subtle.

In Defense of Energy Medicine...sorting through the confusion and misunderstanding!

I decided to write this post because I kept reading about people claiming that those who practice energy healing are being deceived; They say energy healing is priestcraft, it detracts from the priesthood, it is of the devil, etc.etc. Some of these arguments are made by people who clearly don't know what they are talking about, and have absolutely no interest in seeking truth, while other arguments are very thought out, articulate, and intelligently written by people that have obviously pondered these things a great deal.

I have found that most of the misunderstanding comes from a basic confusion about what energy medicine is, and what it is not

How to Find Your Way Out When There Is No Solution

By Anne Hinton Pratt · January 31, 2018

When we find ourselves in a predicament or circumstance that seems unsolvable or unbearable, we may need to rethink our paradigm. Darkness and despair open us into a life that we don’t have to live. We can easily navigate a way out, if we know how.
Spiritually Taught

Some time ago I had an experience where I had to face circumstances I didn’t want to face and a scenario that I felt I couldn’t endure. I allowed my mind to descend to a very bleak place where I didn’t feel hope, because I saw no good way to change the situation. After a day or two, it finally dawned on me where I was headed.
I resolved to fast and pray to increase my clarity and understanding, and to help me get back into peace. This went on for several days. Finally, as I was sitting very still, pondering on my situation, I heard a clear hushed voice declare, “There is no solution to this problem… (and just as I began to despair, the voice continued) …at THIS level!”
It took a while for the significance of the message to sink in. On THIS level? So is there a solution on ANOTHER level?

What is Energy Medicine?

“We can define energy medicine. It’s the diagnostic & therapeutic
use of energy. These are ordinary energies. Theres nothing
mythical here; heat, light, sound, gravity, pressure, vibration,
electricity, magnetism, chemical energy, electromagnetism--the
basic forces that surround and interpenetrate us. So energy
medicine includes a whole range of hands-on, hands-off methods,
energy techniques and devices. The hands-on methods range
from acupuncture to zero balancing, chiropractic, cranio-sacral,
osteopathy, and so on. Energy medicine involves energy of
particular frequencies and intensities and wave shapes and
other characteristics that stimulate the repair and regeneration of
one or more tissues. That’s my definition.”

Dr. James Oschman on Energy Medicine, YouTube

Conventional medicine is the study and use of chemistry in healing the body and treating disease. Energy medicine is the study and use of physics in healing the body and treating disease....still science based, just a different field of science!!

The Gift of Healing and Seeing Green

"Cure returns us to our previous state of wellness, which is usually what we long for. But the scriptures never speak of the gift of cure. They speak of the gift of healing. Healing is a different process from cure. Healing involves a spiritual and emotional reweaving of our life story to incorporate, not merely remove, our injuries. It involves growth and personal change, maturation into a new state of deeper trust in God despite, not in the absence of, suffering. It includes acceptance of our lost innocence, while reaching toward greater wisdom. Healing does not mean going back to Eden, but going forward through the wounding world of mortality to a wholeness that transcends rather than excludes evil."

On Nov 3rd, 2016 the lds.org blog featured this video by Jill Thomas (also featured on Mormon Channel). She shares her beautiful experience of finding the gift of healing, which she calls Seeing Green. I believe the Master never intends for us to just "endure" our trials, but desires for us to experience joy in spite of, and through adversity....He truly intends for us to see Green!
